Course content

The introductory course in embroidery is the perfect way to get started in this craft, as in just one morning you’ll try out the main stitches and then combine them however you like.

You’ll learn plenty of tips to get great results right from the start, and you’ll take home a beautiful stitch sample framed in the embroidery hoop. Small groups of maximum six students allow for personalized attention for each person.

During this course you’ll learn:

• which materials are best for hand embroidery

• the most common stitches and where to use them

• how to combine the stitches to create unique designs

Embroidery is a very relaxing and meditative craft that requires few materials and little space. You’ll find that with good guidance, you can make progress quickly and see the results in no time.

This technique lets you customize a wide variety of projects—from clothing to accessories—by using thinner or thicker threads, flat or raised stitches, playing with colors, or sticking to a single shade. Go ahead and give embroidery a try!
