Summer greetings! Here goes my annual contribution to the swimwear sewing education here on the blog. This time I wanted to play around with the idea of turning the Hanna bikini into a reversible swimsuit (find the sewing pattern here). If you have the Hanna bikini online course, you can find this tutorial in video format here. If not, I’d highly recommend getting the course, as you’ll find lots of in-depth information about sewing swimwear in it. Both this tutorial and the online course can be applied to any swimwear pattern.

Esta vez quería experimentar con la idea de convertir el bikini Hanna en un bikini reversible (este patrón está disponible aquí). Si eres alumna del curso online del bikini Hanna, puedes encontrar este tutorial en formato de vídeo aquí. Si no lo tienes todavía, te recomiendo mucho que te apuntes, ya que en este curso encontrarás mucha información detallada sobre cómo coser trajes de baño. Tanto este tutorial como el curso online se pueden aplicar a cualquier patrón de bikinis y bañadores.

Is January officially the longest month of the year, or is it just me? It has been cold and rainy for what feels like forever; it even snowed today in Madrid. My current main interests are sitting on the sofa and eating cookies. Every day, all day. Too bad that those interests can’t have all the time and dedication they require.

Apart from whining about obvious (and frivolous) things, I’m here to show you some of the stuff I made this month. I wrote the huge yearly recap post at the end of December, and it reminded me that I’d love to do mini recaps more often.

Es enero oficialmente el mes más largo del año o soy solo yo? Parece una eternidad desde que hace frío y llueve, hoy hasta ha nevado en Madrid. Mis principales intereses ahora mismo son sentarme en el sofá y comer galletas. Todos los días, todo el día. Lástima que esos intereses no puedan tener todo el tiempo y dedicación que requieren.

Más allá de quejarme de cosas obvias (y frívolas), estoy aquí para enseñarte algunas de las cosas que hice este mes. Escribí el gran post de resumen anual a finales de diciembre, y me recordé que me encantaría hacer resúmenes (más pequeños) más a menudo. Y que me gustaría poner más tiempo a este sitio aquí en vez de darlo tanto a los algoritmos de Instagram (pero eso ya es otro tema).

2025, what a year. I did manage to write a recap post of my sewing last year, so I’m ready to make it a tradition. After all, two years in a row would be something. Right now, at the end of December, it feels like I had no personal sewing time at all. This is obviously not true, as you’ll see a good bunch of things I made during the year listed below.

2025, qué año. Conseguí escribir una entrada de resumen sobre mis proyectos del año pasado, así que estoy lista para convertirlo en una tradición. Total, dos años seguidos sería todo un logro. Ahora, a finales de diciembre, siento que no he tenido tiempo para coser nada de lo mío. Obviamente, esto no es verdad, como podrás ver en la lista de cosas que he hecho durante el año.
