Using the tradition of wearing red underwear on New Year’s Eve as an excuse (which supposedly brings luck for the year ahead, at least according to the Spanish, hehe), I’ve also been offering red lace kits in my online shop for the past few years . While making the sample with one of this year’s kits, I realized I’d like to have all these photos in one place. And what better place than right here on the blog, where I can give you the details about each pair.

Today I’m bringing you a new tutorial about sewing lingerie! A good option to try something new using your favorite undies pattern is to add narrow stretch lace trims. These trims come in different widths, the most common one I use for this method is usually 2-3 cm wide. The trim can have a scalloped edge or it can have a straight edge on both sides. The method for sewing it is the same, and I'll explain it below.

Hoy os traigo un tutorial de lencería nuevo. Una forma de dar un toque diferente a las bragas de punto es usar puntillas elásticas. Son puntillas que pueden tener diferentes anchos, el ancho más común de puntilla que suelo usar para este método suele ser de 2-3 cm. Pueden tener un borde con ondas o también las hay rectas en ambos laterales. El método para coserlas es el mismo y te lo cuento debajo.

As I mentioned in the last post about the Hanna bralette tutorial with removable foam cups, I was also going to explain how to make the panties I sewed for that beige and pink set. What makes them different from the original version is that they are fully lined with knit fabric.

Como comenté en la última entrada sobre el tutorial de Hanna bralette con copas de foam, también iba a explicar cómo hacer las bragas que venían en ese conjunto beige con rosa. Lo que las hace diferentes de la versión original es que van totalmente forradas de tela de punto.

This week I finally started to remedy the lack of pieces in my own underwear drawer. The saying "the cobbler's children go barefoot" describes my reality too well, haha. So while I made this neutral bralette for myself I also wrote this tutorial to add foam cups to the Hanna bralette pattern for you.

Esta semana empecé por fin a poner remedio a falta de prendas en mi propio cajón de ropa interior. Cumplo 100% con el dicho de “en casa de herrero, cuchillo de palo”, no puedo evitarlo, jaja. Así que aprovechando que iba a coser algo para mí, hice este tutorial para añadir copas de foam al patrón de bralette Hanna.

Calling for spring! This simple bralette pattern paired with a sweet flower mesh definitely brings me all the good weather vibes. I had my eye on this bralette pattern by Sew You Happy since she released it and I thought it would be great to try out one of the floral fabrics I have at the shop.

Making a knit top with the Mara bralette base has been on my mind for a while now so I decided to go ahead and sew it for this month's lingerie post (you can find all the posts here). Also I was teaching a student in class to make one for herself so I had just tried it out on her and she was super happy with the result.

Blue + Peach set

Blue & peach…I fell in love with this color combination right away when I found this lace! The warm tone of this particular blue combines in a really nice way with the peach elastics and creates a super cute set. So here goes my second set of the month of February (you can see all the posts in this series here).

Black lace, beige lining, some contrasting FOE…and voila, here’s the first set of February (I know we’re in March, haha). This is the Mara bralette + Vera panties combination and I’m really happy with how this set turned out.
